Kvil support

How can we help?

Kvil helps you follow a flexible daily eating schedule on iPhone and Apple Watch.

Contact [email protected]. Include your Kvil version, iOS/watchOS version, and a description of the problem. You do not need to send personal weight or reflection history.

Reminders

Enable opening and closing reminders in Kvil Settings and allow notifications in iOS Settings. Focus can silence notifications. Kvil schedules reminders approximately four weeks ahead and renews them when it runs; open Kvil occasionally to keep them going. The scheduled-through date appears in Settings.

Schedules and today's adjustments

Changes to the usual week apply from tomorrow. Change today affects only the current day's plan. Eating windows may cross midnight but cannot overlap another day's window. Future recurring times follow your device time zone; an existing today-only adjustment retains its original absolute times while traveling.

Apple Watch and widgets

Install Kvil from the Watch app, then open Kvil on both devices. The Watch stores the latest schedule so the timer can work without your phone. Changes made while disconnected arrive when the devices reconnect. Widgets refresh on Apple's schedule and show the planned opening time as well as the bounded countdown.

Backup and recovery

Your schedule, days off, and fasting adjustments can sync through encrypted fields in your private CloudKit database. Reflections and weight entries stay outside this sync. Open Kvil on each device and allow time for changes to arrive; background delivery is not immediate or guaranteed. If sync pauses after an account change or removal of the cloud schedule, check the account and turn sync on again in Settings when you want to use it.

Kvil migrates schedules from older iCloud key-value storage after saving an encrypted copy. Keep the app updated on your devices so an older version does not keep writing the old copy. Turning sync off does not delete data already in iCloud.

Export a backup in Settings to preserve your schedule, reflection history, and Kvil weight entries. Restore validates the backup before asking to replace local records and preserves that device's existing schedule-sync choice. Health, reminders, and Live Activities stay off after importing until you enable them again. Apple Health controls synchronization of measurements you shared there.

Full history

The optional one-time purchase unlocks older reflection history and longer recaps. All timer, reminder, artwork, weight, Health, Watch, and widget features remain free. Use Restore purchases in Settings with the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple handles payments and refunds.
